WORKSHOP
The Workshop at THE BIKE SHOP is equipped to cater with all your cycling needs. We are members of the ACT ( Association of cycle traders) and all staff have undergone a period of training and assessment with the associations approved training organisation; The Aylesbury Training Group. There is no need to pre-book a repair or cycle service, you are welcome to drop in with your bike and, in most cases, we can give you an estimate on the spot. We offer both Deluxe and Standard services (see below), a quick turnaround and expert advice is always available in store.
Please try and bring your bike to us in a clean condition so that our mechanics can work safely within Health and Safety guidelines. If you are unable to clean it yourself, we can arrange it for you at an extra cost of £7.00
A guide to the most frequent service and repair costs is set out below:
- Deluxe Service - Full strip down, grease, lube and rebuild, including new cables - £100.00
- Standard Service Adjustments, grease, lube, set gears/brakes and true wheels - £45.00.
- Brake Service - Standard mechanical brakes - £10.00per brake
- Hydraulic Brake Service - Bleed and reset ( excludes fluid etc.) - £20.00per brake
- Gear Service - Standard, Sturmey Archer and Nexus - from £12.00
- Suspension Fork Service - Clean, bleed and reset - £20.00
- Fit new tyre and/or tube - £5.00
- Fit new forks - £15.00
- Fit new bottom bracket - £15.00
- Fit new headset - £15.00
- Fit new brakes - £15.00 each
- Fit new drivetrain part - £12.50 per part
- Wheel truing - from £12.00
- Hub service - £12.00
- Axle replacement - £10.00
- Freewheel, cassette or freehub replacement - £7.50
- Pre Delivery Inspection of an Adult bike,Youths bike and BMX - £40 (Not charged if the cycle is purchased from us)
- Pre Delivery Inspection of a Junior bike - £20 (Not charged if the cycle is purchased from us)
- Basic Clean - £7.00
- Fit Accessory - £7.00 (Not charged for accessories purchased from us)
Note:All prices include VAT at the current rate of 17.5%. Parts are not included in any of the above prices.
We reserve the right to charge for storage at the rate of £1 per day.Bikes not collected within 4 weeks will be disposed of.
